Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus. On Sundays you will find our two services have forms of worship that differ in style of music, but we still celebrate as a united body!
We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing. Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At Forest Park, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.
We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.
For over 125 years at Forest Park we have been asking the question, "Where is it written?" to help guide and direct our teaching. We believe the effective power of scriptural word is inseparably associated with the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit never works independently of the word, and the word is made effective through the Holy Spirit.
On every side attractive and persuasive voices urge us toward conformity to the spirit of the age. There is no escaping from these pervasive influences. Only the church that hears and respond to the work will be able to be a prophetic voice in this wilderness and bring healing to a confused and troubled world.
