We are so excited for our new Children’s Director, Alaina Marr to arrive at Forest Park this summer! She will begin at Forest Park on Monday, July 17. Alaina comes to us from working at an Urban Promise school in Delaware. She grew up an only child in a Christian family on the east side of Michigan. She has a degree in Elementary Ed from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. She has exceptional administrative and organizational skills along with a deep love of music.
On Sunday mornings at 9:30 & 11:15 we offer a number of options for our kids! We believe it is important for our children to spend time in the Worship Center so they begin with their families during worship and are then dismissed to come to the Children's Center. In order to better facilitate learning our children are split up into different groups:
Birth-23 months-Caring, nurturing, Christ centered care by security cleared, trained staff who love your little ones!
2-3 Year olds-Age appropriate Bible activities, songs, and hands on learning. Monthly themes are used to introduce Old and New Testament stories.
PreK-4th Grade-These children learn through hands on, interactive lessons, videos, and activities.
What is Children's Ministry like? Check out the video below to find out!
The night starts in a large group with music and live interactive stories. Children then break into small groups where they build long lasting friendships with other boys and girls who want to live for God. Our ministry partners build relationship with their small groups allowing children a chance to connect with another adult who will show them how they are made in God's image. All this happens while learning Bible stories and life applications lessons through skits, crafts, Bible reviews, games and other fun filled concepts. Our ministry partners are excited to welcome you and your friends.
The Children's Ministry team wants to be an active partner with you in raising your child. To that end we want to make resources available to you that may help you raising your child in today's crazy world. We have put together a list of resources that will help you keep up with all the things your child is exposed to at school, on TV, on their phones, or online.
